Buy Orlistat 120mg Capsules

Clinical trial data found that approximately 67% of patients who took Orlistat alongside a low calorie diet successfully lost a minimum of 5% of their body weight after only 12 weeks, of which 62% went on to continue to lose greater than 10% of their body weight after just one year.

What is Orlistat and what is it used for?
Orlistat 120mg is a prescription-only weight loss aid for adult patients with a BMI over 30 or for those with associated risk factors (such as diabetes, heart disease, high blood pressure or high cholesterol) and a BMI above 28. It is currently the only approved weight loss medication in the UK and combined with a healthy lower-calorie, reduced-fat diet and exercise it can help you lose more weight than by dieting alone.

What is the active ingredient in Orlistat?
Orlistat is the generic name for the active ingredient orlistat at a dose of 120mg.

How does it work?
Unlike an appetite suppressant, the drug reduces the amount of fat absorbed by your body from your food. This active ingredient is what’s known as a dietary fat binder. Contrary to popular belief, it does not bind to the fat in the food, rather it binds to the enzymes in your stomach that break down fats. Orlistat attaches to the stomach enzyme lipase, effectively blocking it from breaking down and digesting some fat molecules. This then causes approximately one third of the fat in the meal not to be absorbed and pass through your system.

Is it legal to purchase Orlistat online in the UK?
Orlistat is approved for sale in the UK as a weight loss treatment. It originally approved on prescription only as Xenical. The 60mg version was approved for sale without prescription by the European Medicines Agency on the 21st of January 2009

How effective is Orlistat?
Orlistat works by blocking the enzyme that breaks down fat in the stomach. This means that fat in the diet cannot be fully absorbed, assisting in weight loss. When used correctly, clinical studies have found that it can achieve 50% more weight loss compared to dieting alone. Results are also seen quickly, with it increasing fat excretion from the body within 24-48 hours of starting the medication. Orlistat may be suitable for you if you have a body mass index (BMI) of 30 kg/m² or above; or a BMI of above 28 kg/m² with risk factors such as high blood pressure, cholesterol or diabetes. What is Saxenda?
Saxenda is an injection used for weight loss. It contains the medicine liraglutide. It can be used alongside diet and exercise to help aid weight loss. The Saxenda pen is a registered trademark of Novo Nordisk.

The drug can be prescribed for people with a body mass index (BMI) over 30. It can also be used for people with a BMI over 27 who have also been diagnosed with weight-related medical problems. These include:

  • Pre-diabetes and diabetes type 2
  • Hypertension (high blood pressure)
  • High cholesterol
  • Obstructive sleep apnoea

How does Saxenda work?
Saxenda contains the active ingredient liraglutide. Liraglutide is similar to a hormone in the body called glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1). This is an appetite hormone that helps regulate hunger and is released by the intestines after a meal.

Due to being similar to GLP-1, Saxenda regulates appetite causing you to feel fuller and less hungry. This can lead to eating fewer calories and losing weight.

Is it for me?
Saxenda should only be used to help with weight loss if you have already tried and failed to lose weight through exercise and diet alone.

Certain patients can not use Saxenda. You should also avoid Saxenda if:

·        You have an allergy to the active ingredient, liraglutide or any of the ingredients in Saxenda

·        You are pregnant or plan to become pregnant. Saxenda can harm your unborn baby.

·        You are breastfeeding

How effective is it?
When using Saxenda pens to suppress appetite, you can expect to lose a minimum of 5% of your initial body weight after completing a 12-week course of treatment. You should stop using Saxenda if you have been unable to lose at least 5% of your starting body weight at this time.

In clinical trials of Saxenda, patients saw better results in losing weight when compared to using a placebo injection over 56 weeks. The results are summarised below;

·        63% lost at least 5% of body weight

·        33% lost at least 10% of body weight

·        15% lost at least 15% of body weight
